Set up your workspace
This guide walks administrators through setting up a new Rival Enterprise workspace. Following these steps ensures your environment is secure, connected to your essential company tools, and ready for your team to use.
-
Set up your company profile and workspace defaults.
Start by setting your organization’s core details and baseline settings:
- Workspace identity — confirm your company name, default region, and primary workspace web address.
- Branding — set your company logo and visual preferences so your team recognizes their workspace when logging in. Under the Branding tab on the left navigation bar, you can upload your logo and set brand colors and profile information.
- Default workspace rules — choose default settings for newly created workspaces and set boundaries between testing and production environments.
-
Set up sign-in, user roles, and your pilot group.
Connect your company’s login system and invite your initial group of users:
- Connect Single Sign-On (SSO) — link your identity provider so team members can log in using their normal work credentials.
- Assign user roles — set clear permission levels before inviting team members. Enterprise Admin gives full control over workspace settings, security policies, user access, and budget controls. Standard User gives access to run approved tools, agents, and workflows within their assigned workspace, bounded by department permissions and approval rules.
- Invite your pilot group — onboard a small group of pilot users, such as team leads and IT staff, by sending direct invites or mapping existing groups from your identity provider.
-
Connect your business tools.
Link the software tools your company relies on so agents and workflows can interact with them:
- Click Connectors in the main navigation menu.
- Authenticate your company’s key business applications.
- Set connection rules. Scope decides whether a connector is available company-wide or restricted to specific departments. Authentication type decides whether actions run through a shared company service account or require individual team members to log in with their own accounts.
-
Set security rules, guardrails, and budgets.
Establish safety boundaries and spending limits for the enterprise before expanding usage across your company:
- Approved models — select which AI models your team is allowed to use and set up custom API keys if your company uses them.
- Human approval gates — set up mandatory approval rules for sensitive actions, such as sending external emails, updating CRM records, or initiating financial transactions.
- Budget and Run Balance controls — set up compute balance allocations, department spending caps, and automated alerts to keep usage predictable.
- Activity and audit logs — ensure compliance logging and log exports are active so your IT security team can review platform activity whenever needed.
-
Add approved tools to your internal Marketplace.
Give your pilot team immediate value by populating your internal Marketplace with pre-approved tools:
- Browse available agents and workflows in the Marketplace repository.
- Mark helpful starter assets — document analyzers, status summarizers, lead research tools — as Approved for your team.
- Set approval rules so restricted or advanced tools automatically ask for admin approval when a team member requests access.
