Tutorial: Adopt your first agent
Agents are AI workers that take action toward a goal. This tutorial gets you using one in about ten minutes. It assumes your admin has approved at least one agent for your team.
1. Understand what an agent does
Section titled “1. Understand what an agent does”Quick primer if you need it: What is an Agent. In short — you give it a goal, context, and tools, and it does the work rather than just answering.
2. Find an approved agent
Section titled “2. Find an approved agent”Open the Marketplace. In the enterprise, you’re browsing the set your admin approved for your team. Pick one that matches something you do often. See Adopting approved agents.
3. Adopt it
Section titled “3. Adopt it”Adopting copies the agent into your workspace as your own independent copy. You may be prompted to connect any systems it needs. See the Agent Marketplace for exactly what transfers when you adopt.
4. Give it context and run it
Section titled “4. Give it context and run it”Run the agent and give it what it needs — a question, a document, a task. The more relevant context you provide, the better its work. Any action that needs approval will pause for your sign-off.
5. Review its output
Section titled “5. Review its output”Read what it produced and confirm it’s right before relying on it. If it’s not quite there, adjust your instructions or context and run it again.
