This path is designed for team members, business analysts, and daily operators. It provides a direct, step-by-step guide for running daily tasks, using pre-approved AI tools, and managing automated workflows safely within your company’s safety guidelines.

1. Explore the Marketplace and request access

Section titled “1. Explore the Marketplace and request access”

The Marketplace serves as your central catalog for discovering pre-approved tools and AI workers:

  • Browse categories — explore available Agents, Workflows, and Tools organized by function and department.
  • Check approval status — tools marked as Approved are available for immediate use.
  • Request access — if a tool or agent shows a restriction badge, click Request Access to send a quick authorization ticket straight to your administrator.

Agents are goal-directed AI team members configured to handle continuous or specialized operational tasks:

  • Find an approved agent — open the Marketplace and filter by Agents to view solutions pre-screened by your administration team.
  • Adopt into your workspace — select an agent and click Adopt to add it directly to your active workspace inventory.
  • Provide context and goals — open the agent from your workspace, assign the required background context or operational goals, and start the task.
  • Review outputs — check the agent’s work and provide additional refinements or approvals as requested during execution.

Workflows combine triggers, system actions, and human review steps into automated business processes. You do not need technical development or coding experience to run approved workflows:

  • Select a workflow — click Workflows in the sidebar or browse the Marketplace to find an approved workflow for your team, such as a status report generator or document summarizer.
  • Provide required details — open the workflow and enter any required details, such as file links, date ranges, or destination channels.
  • Start execution — click Run to begin. Rival coordinates the underlying system steps across your connected company apps.
  • Review and authorize — if the workflow reaches a human approval step, execution pauses. Review the draft action and click Approve to finish or Reject to cancel.
  • View results — go to the Activity tab to retrieve your finished outputs and view execution records.

Adopting a few core operational habits ensures consistent, reliable results across all automated tasks.

Start small

Begin by using read-only or document summarization workflows to get comfortable with the platform before moving to complex tasks.

Maintain oversight

Always double-check generated text, outgoing messages, and data updates at human approval checkpoints before granting final authorization.

Provide clear inputs

Ensure input details and background context are specific and accurate to get the best outputs.

Share effective tools

Save and share useful workflow setups with team members to help standardize processes across your department.
